Not wanting a 6-feet-under meme any moment now has been likely one of the goals lately. I need to stay alive and active that's including food shoved into my orifice these days!
I have seen how fat dripped with my own two eyes! And YES YES and definitely YES, taste is altered. It doesn't taste the same as it was but an additional lifespan of 2 or 3 years is not bad either.
If you are like me who have enjoys food more than breakfast-lunch-dinner setting, savors food more than sweet, salty and spicy and always gets transported to every circa to every bite... then it would be a huge zeal as again, taste is altered!
What is Pork Adobo without the fat trimmings seared to golden perfection and braised for 1hour and melts in your mouth at every piquancy.

Yet again, it depends what you really value most. So you might want to think again! Is the price of a kitchen upgrade really fitting your lifestyle? Then its a sign to get yourself a treat!
At the end of the day, what matters most is the value that it caters most. Beyond price..... beyond need.
