59

2010 marks the 59th edition of the Miss Universe beauty pageant. The glitz and the glamour, the beauty and the charm of each lovely lady representing their own country all over the globe will be rolled into one bewitching and spellbinding night. Live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S of A, on on August 23, 2010, locally will be aired on August 24, 2010. Hosted by Bret Michaels of Celebrity Apprentice 3 and Natalie Morales of NBC's Today. The Sin City will be the last stop for the reigning queen, Stefanía Fernández as she crown her successor and bade her farewell for a well-applauded 2009 supremacy.

The country's gem, Venus Raj from Bato, Camarines Sur, will be a contender for the title. Raj won her tilt March 6 of this year at the Araneta Coliseum besting 24 other beauties. Each candidate winning the title has her won set of mishap, as for Raj came the dethronement by the pageant's organizers (BPCI) due to "inconsistencies" between her birth certificate and the personal account of her birth, anyways that came cleared, which is a good thing as she fought hard during the preliminaries and after winning the crown she'd be fighting for it again? BPCI should have or should be meticulous on setting requirements for their contestants, setup an investigation on or before the pageant not after the contest for chrissakes! Did they not learn from 47 years of doing the pageantry? Why oh why?

All is well that ends well, right? Hail to our queen! As she is about to battle it out again with wit and beauty supremacy for the Ms. Universe title, again we are at you back, through thick and thin. The pink society has been one of your supporters from the day you won your title up against the BPCI, so held your head high and be at your best.

Raj-Raj-Sis-Boom-Bah!! You go girl!
